Veronica Frigeni holds a PhD in Italian Studies from the University of Kent. She has held research positions at Amsterdam, Central European University, and York University’s Centre for Feminist Research, and is currently postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Humboldt University. Her research spans matricentric feminism, reproductive justice, feminist translation and feminist narrative, with over 25 publications. She co-edits two forthcoming Demeter Press volumes and serves on the editorial boards of the Critical Gender Studies Journal.
Lorinda Peterson is a queer mother, artist, and writer based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from Queen’s University, where she teaches online writing. Her research interests include: visual art/culture, art activism; writing – ethnography, essay, poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction, and memoir; feminism and feminist thought; maternal theory; mothering practice; trauma and trauma memory. Her artistic practice blends poetry, creative non-fiction, comics, and academic theory. Her graphic memoir, My Kind of Crazy, was published by Demeter in 2023.
